There was a young lady in York.
She decided never to walk.
She sat on her chair,
Just looked and was there.
And let people go by to gawk.

There was an old lady in Hull.
She found life so terribly dull.
She took in a punk
Who wasn’t a monk.
Now she lives free like a gull.

There once  was a woman in Kirk
Engaged much in doing house work.
Even hoovered her roaster
And also her toaster.
And this made most people smirk.

There was a young lady in Wick.
She developed an off-kilter tic.
She put  over her head
The face of a cat
Which gave her the ultimate kick.
